Zayn Malik wants to work with Miley Cyrus on a song.

Since launching his solo career in 2016, the former One Direction star has collaborated with artists such as Taylor Swift, Sia, M.I.A. and Timbaland.

During a recent appearance on Stationhead, Zayn revealed Miley was next on his wish list.

"I'd like to do a collaboration with her," he said during a livestream on Monday. "I like her recent music a lot, it's crazy. She's got a sick voice and I think we could do something really cool together, especially in line with what my new record sounds like. Miley, if you heard this, and you're interested, I'm here, let's do something."

The 31-year-old is gearing up to release his fourth studio album, Room Under the Stairs, on 17 May. It serves as the follow-up to his 2021 release Nobody Is Listening.

Elsewhere on the livestream, the Pillowtalk singer revealed he has been listening to One Direction's back catalogue lately.

"I've been listening to a bit of One Direction music recently, reminiscing. Good times," he shared. "We made some good music as a band. We were pretty good."

Zayn was put together with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan to form One Direction on The X Factor UK in 2010. Zayn left the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career and the remaining bandmates went on hiatus the following year.
